iCAMP Media Academy

Are you a Philadelphia high school student (rising junior or senior) with a passion for social justice through media? Join our media developer-in-residence program at West Chester University!

In our 8th year, for Summer 2024 iCamp at WCU is offering two programs for students in the School District of Philadelphia: a week-long summer media academy, and a three-week class for college credit.

The BIG NEWS this year is iCamp for Credit: A three week college course in Digital Storytelling, giving students TWO weeks of residence on WCU’s beautiful campus in West Chester. Students receive college credit AND participate in iCamp Media Academy! We’ll also offer a week-long residential media academy on WCU’s beautiful campus: iCamp’s 8th year of media-making excellence.

Both opportunities are iCamp, so you’ll learn new skills and make new friends as you work on challenging and fun projects with Philly-based social justice leaders and media artists.

iCamp has been recognized as an Inspiring Program in STEM, a Program of Excellence in K-16 partnership, and has been awarded a grant by the National Endowment for the Humanities
